Privacy, cookies and credits

- No profiling cookies, no analytics, no advertising.
- Videos only load if you start them: until then no external service is contacted.
- What you write to us is only used to reply to you and is never passed on to third parties.
Data controller
The controller of your personal data is Giampaolo Petrosemolo. If you have any questions about privacy, you can write to info@casa-anna.it.
What data we process and why
Browsing data
Like any website, the server hosting this site automatically records some technical data on each visit: IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. It is only used to run the site and protect it from abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), is not used to identify you and is kept for the period set by the hosting provider for security reasons.
Contact and availability requests
When you write to us through the contact form or by email, we process the data you give us (name, email, phone if you provide it, dates of stay, number of guests and message) only to reply and prepare an offer (pre-contractual measures, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Providing it is optional, but without contact details we cannot reply.
The same applies if you call us or message us on WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group): messages pass through its servers and are also processed under WhatsApp's privacy policy. If you prefer, you can always write to us by email or through the form.
If the request does not turn into a booking, the data is deleted within 12 months. If you book, we keep the necessary data for as long as the law requires, for example for tax purposes. To protect the form from automated submissions we keep a cryptographic fingerprint (hash) of your IP address for 24 hours, from which the address itself cannot be recovered.
Cookies
The site uses no cookies at all: no profiling, analytics or advertising cookies, and no technical ones either. That is why it does not ask for your consent. The contact form, too, is protected from spam without cookies. Only videos, if you start them, may store data on your device (see below).
Fonts, icons and images come from our own server: the site does not use Google Fonts or any other external resources, apart from the map and videos described below.
External services
Map
The map on the home page is drawn with OpenStreetMap data provided by OpenFreeMap. To display it, your browser connects to OpenFreeMap's servers, which receive your IP address as with any web resource. According to its privacy policy, OpenFreeMap uses no cookies or tracking and deletes server logs after 7 days.
Videos
YouTube and Vimeo videos are not loaded when the page opens: you only see an image stored on our server. Only when you press “Watch” is the video loaded from the external service, which receives your IP address and may store data on your device according to its own privacy policy. We use the most privacy-friendly options available: YouTube's “privacy-enhanced mode” (youtube-nocookie.com) and Vimeo's “Do Not Track” setting.
Google (YouTube) and Vimeo may transfer data to the United States, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (for example the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).

Who may receive the data
Your data is never sold or published. It may be processed, only on behalf of the controller and for the purposes described, by the site's hosting and email providers, acting as data processors.
Your rights
At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a readable format or object to its processing (Articles 15–21 GDPR) by writing to info@casa-anna.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it (opens in a new window)).
This policy may be updated: the date of the last change is shown at the top.
